The Cliff House signature restaurant is suspended just above the Atlantic for panoramic ocean views, spectacular sunrises, and romantic evenings. Taste an evolving variety of seasonal flavors for breakfast, lunch, or dinner through farm-fresh local produce, line-caught fish, roasts, and homemade recipes passed down from generation to generation. Respectful preparations showcase native ingredients at their peak and pair perfectly with our international wine program and handcrafted cocktail menu. Selections may include lobster hash with Maine new potatoes and poached cage-free eggs, Maplebrook Farm burrata and arugula with heirloom tomato and panzanella salad, wood roasted oysters, and pan-seared skate wing with cauliflower puree and lemon caper sauce.


Public House captures Maine’s best with traditional cold and warm lobster rolls, fried clams and fish and chips, farm raised heritage pork, as well as one of the best burgers in the region. Lounge on the outdoor terraces, and make new memories at intimate gathering spots amid extraordinary ocean views. Paying homage to the fisherman and the early rum distillers of New England, this casual oceanfront lounge and bar features local oysters, clams, and lobster, plus regionally distilled spirits and craft beers. Sip distinctive seasonal libations prepared with house made bitters, shrubs, and syrups, and local liquors like Eight Bells Rum and Gun Powder Rye Whiskey.


The Lobster Shack is an idyllic oceanfront retreat that invites diners to enjoy quintessential New England cuisine amid majestic coastal views. Gather for a casual round of drinks or a round of croquet; ample poolside and lawn lounge areas beg guests to engage in lively conversation and games. Lobster rolls, fried clams, a vast raw bar, and juicy burgers with pickled garden tomatoes satisfy the appetites of those who make the pilgrimage to Maine specifically for these inimitable flavors. A selection of local craft beers from regional brewers offers a wide spectrum of session IPAs to rich seasonal porters, while cocktails are handcrafted with garden-picked ingredients.


Bard Coffee Shop partners with local roasters to bring signature blends and single brew services to Cliff House. A nitrogen based cold tap system delivers fresh brewed iced coffee year-round. Carrot cake muffins, wild blueberry muffins with almond streusel, and Bing cherry dark chocolate muffins are simply irresistible accompaniments. A selection of grab-and-go sandwiches and salads are freshly prepared for guests to take to the beach. Fully stocked picnic baskets can also be pre-ordered before a day of local adventures.

Cliff House Resort is amidst a landmark transformation and will reopen July 2016.
