Tillers Row + Ocean Acres at Cliff House
Details
The Tiller’s Row Garden offers seasonal herbs, greens, select vegetables, and fresh flowers for our culinary and spa staff to incorporate into daily menus and enhancements throughout the resort. You'll find lavender, marigold, mint, and astrantia used by the bartending staff at The Tiller Restaurant, lavender incorporated into the Tiller's Row bath scrub at the spa, and beautiful bouquets displayed at the front desk— all sourced from the Tiller's Row Garden.
The garden is tended by our Resident Gardener, Elizabeth Brown, owner of Foxglove Farmhouse. Stop by the garden to see Elizabeth in action or attend one of her botanical craft classes to create bouquets and more with the flowers hand-picked from the garden.
Outside the resort doors you'll find yourself on 70 acres of wooded trails, cliff top walking paths, and lush grounds. Our walking trails are a fun way to get your daily exercise outside without leaving property. These trails also serve as the perfect lookout for Maine wildlife and coastal birds. See the trail head on our resort map.
We also have an on-site Recreation Director (AKA the Director of Fun) who is always planning fun and innovative activities for guests. Explore the Ocean Acres with our Recreation Team for a nature scavenger hunt or take a stroll around the property with Maine expert naturalist, 'Nature Dan', to learn about the wildlife and ecology in the area. Upon check in be sure to ask the front desk for a list of the daily activities during your stay!
Please note that outdoor activities are both seasonal and weather dependent.
